I'm thinking of starting over because I can't seem to find anything to add to my tank. Currently i have 2 clown knives about 24", a african lung fish 15", 2 featherfin synodontos 5", I had 3 but the gold knife ate one and 1 striped raphael 5". I've thought about adding some central or south american cichlid's or getting rid of the knives and the lung fish for a nearly complete start over to add them. That's why I'm wondering what tankmates everyone have with their knives.
What tankmates do your clown knives have?

CKs are usually pretty mellow and will be fine with anything that won't fit in it's mouth and vice versa. I've kept Knives with Pbass, Dats, GT, and RTC that were fine...I've also kept a CK with and Oscar, Jag, and JD. I think those Cichlids were a bit rough. My Knife had a lot of scars on it.
Im sure you could Jam a catfish or a pelco in there also but still they would be just a sideshow to the main event
Id add a tiger oscar they grow max in 12months and if you get them small in 6 months it would be big enough to stick in the tank

In with my 2'' clown knife I have a 2'' silver aro, 2 2'' bala sharks, a 2'' Id shark, 3'' Id shark.
i that african lung fish were pretty brutal killers to all fish???
