I was doing some cleaning in my tank, when i saw him. He was hiding behind the filter tube and i saw he was very swollen. I took him out and his eyes looks like they gonna pop out.

his belly its also very swollen. I want to know if this is because a parasite, or something like that. right now hes dead, and i dont want any other fish to die. i have sand as substrate in my tank, it can be some impaction like with reptiles??

sorry for my english, its my 2nd language :(

just keep an eye on your other fish and if you find any similar symptoms treat with an anti parasite/ bacterial medicine. I think its pop eye (Exophthalmia)

Hmm well if hes dead just make sure no one else gets those symptions you know... swelling of the eyes, abnormal puff of the tummy if it happens again, you can hopefully catch it early enough. Looks like something a few doses of tetracycline would maybe help. Possibly some melafix? Hopefully it doesnt spread to your other fish!

Bacteria infection.. treat him in a AT tank with Maricide

Seeing as how it's dead, I'm pretty sure that won't help. I could be wrong though.

do any of your other fish look swollen and popeyed? i would say its bacterial, but i would be hesitant to start throwing meds in the tank if everyone else is okay.. i would do a waterchange and add aquarium salt and keep your tank temp around 80 if its not there already..

keep an eye on everyone else, see how they are acting --if they are eating, or are they hiding and skittish? if they are hiding, move stuff around so you can get a clear look at their bodies..
