ok my RBPs are chasing each other in circles nipping at there sides... any reasons?.....:screwy:
They are just like any group of aggressive fish they are just establishing there pecking order, basically there playing KING OF THE HILL:D

even if the group has been togther for a few months... but i did just move them to a new tank like 3 weeks ago.. im just a little worryed cuz one of them is pretty roughted up on both of his sides...

I disagree! After moving them n after water changes. Its spawning behaviors!IMO

But after moving them I'm guess he rearranged the new tank to look different so they may have to establish a new pecking order, since territories have been moved. Their isn't really enough info to say its spawning behavior :grinno:

That's one of the things I do to induce spawning move tank around. Pecking order lmfao! Their not chickens! Rbp don't have a pecking order one doesn't eat while rest swim there waiting they all get in on the action a once. One might be a lil meaner than others but there isn't no pecking order!

I've seen it time n time again n just cause their doing don't mean they will(spawn) ask the original thread starter what his fish did within weeks of him noticing the behavior!they spawned! I seen it almost weekly!I know what spawning behavior looks like!but again just cause they going through the motions don't mean their going to!just means their practicing and or getting ready. A lot of factors come into play whether they will on not! Ask ANY REAL rbp breeder they tell you same thing!

Lol n territories? Their rbp there a shoaling fish in a aquarium.I'm sure there's exceptions but I've never had one stake out a part of tank n defend it against other rbp.I'm sure they will if not fed properly or have a big enough tank.
