What the heck did I buy?

Saw this guy at the LFS. He was only listed as "Vieja". I had to have him. He's about 2.5" long. Sorry for the crappy pics. He has tons of color that the camera didn't pick up.

i think the more important question is, why did you buy it without knowing what it was?
if you cant even identify it, how do you know you will be able to properly care for it?
