What the Heck is this?

Hi All,

I acquired this fish at the weekend, LFS couldn't explainw hat it is ? I'm guessing it's some kind of hybrid? looks like something like a pangasius cross giraffe?

Anyone seen one before? Sorry for the bad photos...

I rarely say this but....I have no idea. Closest I can think of is it looks like a deformed channel catfish type of thing. I'm pretty sure its deformed though and not just a normal hybrid. It doesn't appear to be able to close its mouth which gives it away, atleast imo.

Idk what that thing is but it kinda looks like a mutated channel cat. Interesting pickup haha

It's hard to tell from the pics but are there any smaller spots along the body? I've caught channels before that were deformed from hooks being ripped out of their mouths. The eyes look huge for a channel.

Looks like one of the Chrysichthys species. Aluminum cat maybe?
