At least I think its ich. I have a problem in my grow out tank. I have 2 mixteco blues, a balloon green terror, 5 clown loaches, and a tiger pleco. The loaches and the pleco have white spots all over their bodies and are breathing extremely heavily. However...the cichlids are prefect. Whats going on? I raised the temperature and added some salt. I've been dropping in the jungle ICH tablets in for the past 2 days. I've already lost a loach( sorry PHIL) and an earth-eater.

It may have to do with the scale/skin type of the loaches, why it is showing up in them first. The ich is in the tank, some in egg form, unaffected by the meds you are using. Bump up the temp to speed up the incubation time so you can then knock them out with meds.

Any body with recommendation on salt amount to add?
There are some good threads on this very topic for you to check out.

1 teaspoon per 5 gallons. Jungle products contain salt. I'd recommend giving the fish vitamins to boost their immune system while resisting ich parasites.

I've checked out the threads....just cant grasp the whole loaches and pleco have it and not the cichlids. They're chasing each other around for crying out loud!!!!!!

the loaches look real bad now...laying on their sides.

Then salt and the meds is gonna kill the loaches.
