Ok first off I am not a newbie when it comes to rays, have had them for years and love them dearly. But I am having a weird time with one of my rays. The ray trys to climb out of the tank every time the lid is lifted and open for any period of time. The little bastard swims up the glass and flips a side over the top of the tank and slithers out of the tanks onto the table. There is nothing on the table where the tank is, he is the biggest ray I have in 250 gallon tank. I am just dumbfounded in why he does this?

Anyone lese have similiar problems or do I have a sucidal ray?

Oh by the way they are FW rays

lower the tank water level, to about 5 or 6 inches from the tank brim..

i think its just that its looking for food. rays do swim around the tank wall, so as to find for any fish that it can trap. and it so happens that ur water level is so high, so it swam right out of your tank..
