Hello MFK

So I have this 150G (5x2x2) sitting in my room empty for the past 5 months, I cant decided what to do with it, seeing as I keep most of my bigger cichlids in the fish room I tend to like having planted/colorful tanks inside as they are always nice and relaxing but at the same time I want something playful with a charter and a little bit aggressive/ largish but can school and wont kill all the plants the added green really works well the backgrounds of the tanks.

I was thinking africans would work for most of it but not sure if they are really playful and they dont get to large from what I have seen, My other idea was a mixed flowerhorn tank but WW3 in my room is not to nice when I think about it so really have no clue what to get, any idea would be great.

I also want to rid my discus tank out to the fish room as they dont give me pleasure anymore xD so if you want you can list 2 ideas :)

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to give it a shot.

Get african Haps, they all get larger and more colourful than Mbuna, most of them reach at least 10". they also like to be crowded to lessen aggression. they come in ANY colour under the rainbow and are very fun to watch. In my 5x2x3 I have a mixture of africans, americans, and non cichlids that works really well because I know each fish (did a lot of research) I have a Champsochromis Caeruleus that is the most personable fish in the tank, hes always coming up wherever I am, literally shooting at the glass with his huge mouth and usually splashes the water at the top with his tail. definately the most interactive fish in the tank, second would be the oscar and chocolate cichlid. heres a pic of him

with haps you can have tonnes of colour, just do some research and see what you like, I have seen african tanks with live plants quite a few times but I didn't get it to work personally, although I have found it is Mbuna that eat plants the most.

another idea...

Frontosa, peacocks, ele yellows, cuckoos, some large schooling fish? and a american cichlid like a choco or something that wont ram all the africans? reckon this would work? it kind of nails all the points busting my head over this lol cant be stuffed looking at an empty tank anymore!

mmmm I had to idea of just accidentally pushing it over xD I have all my other 25 tanks sorted BUT THIS ONE TANK IS BUSTING MY NUTS OPEN! I am seriously just consdering moving all my americans from the 180 into it adding a center wood some rocks and be done with it add some fake plants into the rocks and wood dig them in deep and add some more vieja for color and some gold servs if I can find, then when the RT-jag-fh get larger they come out and go in with the dovii and jardini etc HMM! servs have great color too might try this,

I have decided to turn a 75G into a trop tank as they look great and add some peacocks into my fronnie tank once thats setup

sure if you come and get it from aussie land and idk? take it back on a plane xD nah It looks pretty good now taken 20 mins doing this i will take a picture now!

Just going to move all my americans and SDs over add some gold servs, texas, gt for color and some fake plants maybe some clowns also.

yeah so going to add fake plants all around the back area and try some moss on the wood and scatter a few smaller one in between the rock wall, I will probs change it around this is all rushed =(! its alright i think but il find some small errors tonight lol, feel free to point anything out :)
