Browsing for info on a fish in my lfs (a tribal halfbeak..?? my friend bought 2..they wouldve got eaten in my tank lol) I found this. It looks like a HIGHLY deformed elephant nose.. although it looks pretty cool.. what is it? Im not 100% if its a mormyraid or anything so im just posting it here :)

It's just a different species, the common one is Peterson's...

The exact species is Campylomormyrus cassaicus FWI. Interesting as in this genus the mouth is at the end of the "trunk".
 
And, according to my copy of Jurassic Fish, they differ from other mormyrids by staying out when the lights are on...
 
it's a down poker fish. They're electric, and more fragile than the petersii
