They call those wire worms or horse hair worms. I used to watch potato bugs rupture with those things right after a rain. Really disgusting. Nasty parasite that only affects crickets and grasshoppers and there whole family.
wow that video was pretty nasty watching the worm just wiggle out of the cricket... man imagine having 100 in ur body and it mind controls u to jump off a skyscrapper.... hahahah not coolll. hopefully there are none around socal
Luckily those types of nematodes do not effect fish, only insects, a few crustaceans, and I believe one type effects land snails.
Screw the cricket, what happened to the worm...Imagine that thing swimming up your azz, or worse, your shaft....Where's that swimming pool????Have it bombed....
