What thickness of acrylic??

Here's my build 8'x 2'x 2'. I wanted to use glass, but the nearest glazier is 2.5 hours away in Raleigh. I've got a short bed chevy 1500, so the glass would be riding on tail gate, that's been dropped. Ive decided to look into acrylic, can anyone recommend thickness.

I had an 8' build that was 30" deep and went with 1/2".

I say at least 1/2". My 200g 8'x2'x20" Acrylic tank is 3/8" and it bows a good amount. I wouldn't personally go any taller without going thicker.

To be 100%, I would go with 3/4".
