what thickness plywood for tank?

I cant find a conversion of what thickness plywood should be used for. How much water will be held. Any in your opinion what thickness would you use for a tank size of 12 by 4 by 4 ft, those arent finally measurments but if changes should oonly be a little smaller.

i made my tank out of two 3/4 boards together making 1.5 inches my tank is 8' x 31" x 33" (L x W x H) Dont know if its right or not but i am having no problem with it. No other bracing other than the top boards to connect the front to the back.

for that size tank id suggest building a frame structure, like a house, then lining the inside with plywood. that will give you the required strength.
