what time are fry "unsafe"?

may RDs bred and the fry are just now swimming freely. At what time will I need to seperate them from their parents?

I was wondering the same thing as my cichlids now have free swimmers. Ive read that the babies are still cared for best by the parents even as free swimmers. For how long after they are free swimmers is what I do not know. breeders please answer.
