What tips for cleanin the top of sand?

I have my oscars / plecss / turtle that are poopin big now its not disintergrating just sitting on top of the sand right now,

right now what i do is just a few swoops with a fish net but it always seems to leave some there.


What do u guys do to clean the top of ur sand?
im sure there are hundreds of people askin this question.

my filter is a Rena XP3

I use my syphon to clean up my sand. I use Pool Filter Sand so it's heavy and doesn't get vacuumed out, just the poop.

I bought a Magnum 350 solely for the purpose of vacuuming my sand. I clip the return to the tank and use 1/2" pvc pipe on the end of the intake tube. Very easy, little mess.
