What to add to my Oscar tank/ Tankmates

I have 2 oscars in my 150g as well as 2 plecos. As far as I can tell my 2 tigers are both male. Then again I wont know till they breed. Anyways I really want more fish in the tank cause it looks kinda empty to me. I have a very large piece of driftwood.3'- 4' long and 8''-10'' around and hollow all the way through. The plecos enjoy being inside of it. Is there any way I can add a fish if not then a couple of smaller ones. I dont know how compatible they are with oscars but maybe a couple of electric yellows or blues. I am open for just about anything but silver dollars. Could someone give some advice on what I can add to my tank? Thanks.

how large are the oscars? if they're not too large then you could add a school of giant danios or some type of larger rainbow species. if you can find them and afford them a group of millenium rainbows would look beautiful in there. if you're wanting to add another cichlid you could probably get away with a severum of some kind, a chocolate cichlid or a uaru. :)
 
I had green sevrum and a pike cichlid with my oscer before. I wouldn't do any africans cause of the different water needs. You could do tinfoil barbs or some type of larger catfish.
 
anything large enough not to fit in the Os mouth. JD....Jag...Gt but im partial.
 
Cons, Firemouths, Jack Dempsey, Chocolate Cichlid, Severums, Tinfoil barb, Polypterus,

Anything that won't fit in their mouths...and wont outgrow them...so they can't beat up the oscars.
 
How bout a Dwarf Snakehead? I want one of those one day.....saw them for sale at the LFS... :grinyes:
 
I would go for a couple of Severums(Green and Albino)a decent sized Bala shark,and even some of the larger Gourami's,moonlight,kissing etc.But definantly some catfish!!! :thumbsup:
 
you can add: Fire mouth's, Parachromis loisellei, you can also add cichlids from the Vieja or Aequidens famely.
basicly you can add anything that wont fit the oscar mouth and can defend him self without giving the oscar to much truble
