I haven't had luck with my convict in my 10g, so I'm looking for something that I could breed comfortably in a 10g. I know there aren't a lot of options, so there is no need to mention that. Maybe guppies? Or something more interesting? Thanks for suggestions.

I think Dread or someone has done a writeup on breeding rams in a ten....I could be wrong though.....

Where is it?

If I did breed rams, would I be able to raise the fry in the tank? I have no other place for them, except food for a senegal bichir.

Back to the original question...

White cloud mountain minnows.. cool little fish, easy to breed and fine in a 10g tank :D

Get several minnows, add to 10g tank with a big handfull of java moss, feed and wait a while.

Cheers

Ian

Endlers are like guppies but a bit more interesting. I dont think you have much option other than small livebearers if you want the fry raised in tank.

I agree on the Endler's. they aren't a bad feeder fish for smaller predators either.

Here we go! Suggestions for a 10g breeding tank:
Liverbearers (aside from Pike Livebearers). Endlers would be excellent, as would my personal favourites - hifin lyretail swordtails. ^__^

German Blue Rams
Most any Apistogramma spp
Corydoras Pygmaeus - you can keep 10 in a 10g and breed them with no problem. Same goes for other dwarf corys like C. habrosus, and C. Hastatus. 10gs could also be used for other Corydoras. Sterbai, Panda, and Aeneus come to mind. A group of 5 could be housed in a 10g with little problems
Bristlenose Plecos
Crenicichla Regani
ANY number of Tetras.. Rummynose and Cardinals if you want to have a little bit of a challenge
Celestial Pearl Danios (old name Galaxy Rasboras) are in high demand if you breed them and can't house all the fry.

Pretty sure there's many more I've missed.
