ok guys it is my birthday tomorrow and i had my party today i got some money what should i blow it on?

idk how to make it a poll so

A fish only?
B equipment only?
C fish and equipment?
D New tank?

if you have the space get a new tank, the filters and fish can come later when you have less money to spend

I guess it depends on what you need/want.

Agreed with everyone, depends on what you need. But i'd go with a new tank if you have enough for a monster tank!!

if he can afford a monster tank off birthday cash then.... can your parents adopt me? I don't even get cards for my birthday. lol

What tanks and equipment and stock do you have now? If your current tank is stocked and filtered well then start a new one if your parents permit. Or just bring in a 55 gallon when your parents are at work then fall asleep so they can cool down after seeing it for a few hours then tell them about it and that you wanted to tell them earlier but you fell asleep by "accident". It works.

i guess it really depends on 3 things

A) how much money do you have to spend?
B) how many tanks do you have running now and are they fully stocked?
C) do you have the room for a new tank? and if so how much room?

I would do it in this order.

1) Upgrade tank size if you need to.
2) Upgrade filtration/equipment
3) New set-up/ New fish ( depending if you have room in current tanks or no)

for instance my husband and I upgraded a few tanks w/ a chunk of our wedding money. then used the rest to add a few more "splurges" to our tanks.

As much as it stinks sometimes to put money into the "neccesities" your fish will always thank you, and one of the fun lessons of growing up/being a productive adult. That and good equipment = more time, money, ect saved long-term.

And of course.. You can always bank it up for something else you really want. Or sit on it until you have a "rainy day".
