Ok so i'm setting up a 7x2x2 210 with a 50 gal refugium/wetdry sump and i'm trying to finalize my stock list.
I currently have
3x Tats
1x Baft
1x Leo-x hybrid male ray

I have 2x Hystrix female pups that i'm thinking about keeping in here as well, but i do have a 150 wide they can go into.

My question is can I add another schooling characin to this tank without super overloading it? and what will be the MOST compatible with my current stock?
i'm trying to decide between redtail chaleaus, yellowtail Barracudas, redtail Barracudas, or maybe Tiger SDs. i was thinking about a school of 6 of any of them. the tank is also going to have pretty high flow for the Baft and tats.

I'm designing a quick drain so that i will be able to use the sump pump to drain the tank as well so that frequent large water changes will be easy.

Looking forward to peoples suggestions! Sounds like an epic set up I'd go with the chalceus, I have 4 pink tails and they're great to watch, pretty active fish and good coloring to them

I'd say tiger SD's. They last longer and the cudas will get tore up eventually. The growth rate of atf compared to yellow and red cuds is much faster. The pink tail chalceus is another way to go but short term as they wont get beat up like the cudas will.

I'd also say tiger sd. With their shape and growth rate they would most likely do the best.

Let me know Steve. ...I was gonna get a group of 6 tigers from jeff next week..I figure why not already have 6 thins and 6 wides lol .....if we are taking the trip together maybe he would give us a deal on 12

I agree with the tiger SD being your best bet, yellow tails get bigger but are said to be calmer, I personally like the look of red tail cudas better, but would advise against them (boy species of cuda) due to the tank mates outgrowing them and either making a meal or chew toy of them. The red tail chalceus I don't know much about.
