Just get a betta dude. Nobody is gonna think you're a sissy if u get one. Just tell anybody who asks that it belongs to your girlfriend or sister if it really bothers you.

2 gallons isn't enough for pea puffers.. you need at least 5 gallons per pea puffer

I'd say, a betta. .. even though it's not on the list!

I say a Dwarf Puffer, a planted Shrimp/Nerite tank, or an army of Assassin Snails. Or 4-Banded Bumblebee Gobies if you can find them. They are true freshwater

From your list shrimp or one pea puffer the smallest of corys the pygmy needs to be in groups of at least 5 and need 10 gallons and more if you have more.

There's nothing wrong with small tanks But 2 gallons is like a fish liveing in a milk jug. Its would be much better to get like a 10 gallon its still very small but at least the fish have a little room..
