So this fish has a terrible tenacity in my 55 gallon african cichlid tank... he constantly demands at least 1/2 the tank to himself, forcing my other fish to huddle up into a corner of my tank..
This guy was one of my original 2 cichlids 2 years ago, but now he's become more of a nuisance than anything else, and his aggressive attitude is too much for my other fish.
I recently took him out of the tank, and put him into his own for the last day or so and the community looks happier than ever

Were I able to set up a second tank, then I would definitely do so. But I cant afford the overages on my electricity bill... Should I give Nelson away to a new home? or keep him and allow him to be the bully of my tank

if you give him away, i would be able to house him :) i have an 75 gal african setup

let him be a bully or get urself another fish that will bully him. average out the aggression with more african cichlids,

thats what Ive been trying to do haha
but he's just unbelievably excessive, he marks off his grounds, and never gives it a rest

well another person may have a problem with the aggrssion of the fish and they may give him back. Your other option would be to get a tank divider and divide a small section for him.

My name is Nelson! Save him for christs sake!

haha ill take that into consideration, but the rest of my fish seriously seem better off...
I know they say crowd your fish to curb aggression, but this guy is a straightup dickhead

pm me if you want to meet up and i can get him off your hands and house him
