:nilly::confused:

I have just bought my first place, but at the same time took on extra work so dont have the time to move a tank and fish so the stock below have gone:cry:
But with the extra work i dont have time for extensive cleaning so was going to go bare bottom and grow out discus, but does anyone have ideas for a solitary predator for midwater that i could possibly put bichirs in with at a later date. I want to get something larger sick of growing out dats.

Plus any advice how to make sure movers look after my tank during the move it dimensions are 48x18x24

no ideas?

work has yellow tail sabretooth assuming its a tat, could i grow that out?

First off what size tank do plan on getting. If you are looking for a solo predator you have various options just depending on how much space you are going to provide it. The Wolves (Hoplias and Ery Ery), Cichlids (Dovii and smaller solo preds), FW puffers. These are just some ideas to get you thinking....;)

Im keeping the 90 for now and upgrading in 2yrs when i move on up property ladder.

any new ideas today

I wanna predatory show fish that i can grow out for a couple of years. African pike maybe, or a payara what do people think i respect your advice.

If you lack time for cleaning(cleaning = maintnance) then you can forget discus IMO..

There are alot of predatory fish that you can put with bichirs.. at least large bichirs.. some of which will be ok in that tank for a couple years. But need you with more input to make a couple selections of what you're thinking about.

I couldn't bare to list all the fish that work with bichirs in a 90g, so you need to help by picking out or thinking about what species you really like.

African pikes are way cool. Perhaps a couple of them? Or perhaps a school of VATF? You have alot of options.

Does your predator have to have teeth? Or any kind of predator is fine?

BTW Dovii would not get along with most things.. I don't think even bichirs..

a school of vatf or african pikes would be nice, probably leave out the bichirs. Can these species be trained off live foods

Any species can be trained off of live foods. How hard it is for those particular two I don't know. Hopefully someone will comment.
