i just filled my 20 gal up with water used a dechlorinator and added some aquarium salt... what do i do now to get my bichir back in the tank? oh yeah i put him in a holding tank and redid everything with black sand and 2 lava rocks i thought the rocks were cleaned when i was cleaning it but i was wrong it shot all kinda yellowish sand and fogged up my tank so i drained it and filled it back up and got the rocks clean what do you guys suggest i do now? thanks

It all depends did u use a used seeded filter if so you should be good if you are using every think new from scratch u need to re cycle your tank. Get your self a test kit.

Like Canadian said...what happened with the filter? Is it seeded with bacteria? Is this a new system or an established tank? If you completely cleaned ur tank hopefully you left the filter alone and didnt clean it. There are two sections to an aquarium, the tank and filter. One must remain full of bio. If you clean the filter, the tank must remain or if you clean the tank, the filter must remain.
