Hi I am not sure if everyone read my previous thread. But I adopted a 14in Sliver from Craigslist. He was raised on Hikari sticks since he was 3in. After one day he was eating sticks and swims back and forth very well. He was previously crammed into a 55g tank. He is now in a 125g with 2 plecos, 2 small Green Terrors, and a small BGK. Well the last 2 days he hasn't really eaten anything, swims near the bottom and sometimes chills in the corner. It looks as if he isn't even interested in the food I offer him. Should I try live food? He looks heathty and gets scared really easily. This is why I think he is stressed. Water temp was at 78-80 this morning. So I rasied the heater to 82-84 and added Melafix. Is there something else I should do? I have about 1-2% salt level, should i put more? Any info or input is welcome.

BTW he hasn't offered at the little terrors yet, should I just give him more time before he eats?

change water more often

NO LIVE!! AT this point, you dont' want it to start refusing sticks/pellets. It's still getting used to its new surroundings. Keep the lights off and don't stress it any more. Unless your ammonia is high, water changes will just stress it and won't help.

regular water changes, make sure water is perfect. when they are stressed, water params is more important.

dim or turn lights off. and MAKE SURE you black out or cover the back, sides leaving only the front of the tant see through.
this will immediatley relieve tension.

so youve only had him for two days? silvers are pretty sensitive and they change their mood all the time. give him a few days. if your water parameters are good, he'll come around and start eating again. mine goes through mood swings all the time

i agree with u ppl =D

tank changes stress out arrows lots my blue was stressed the first day we got him would not eat anything just give him time
