What to do when fish swallow something other than food?

Ive read before a few times of arowanas swallowing suction cups and end up dying, what would be the best thing o do if this happens? Any way to make aro

Vomit? Or is it possible to pluck the swallowed object from the aros mouth? Anybody has experience with this?

Can also be oscars or other fish which ate gravel or something bigger

Smaller fish tend to get in more trouble. Just make sure there isn't anything small or lose that he can mistake for food in the tank. Usually they'll just spit it out!

i was worried cuz my tilapia rips leaves off plastic plants but always spits em out. my piranha snatches minnows that hide in plastic plants and bites pieces off all the time but won't swallow them. idk what would make the arowana so different, but i bet 99% of the time they would notice quickly its not food and spit it out. as for getting a fish to puke, i have no idea other than to stress it out usually works well.

Wow thanks for sharing the video luckily his owner thought of taking out the plastic lizard , the rtc is so cute
