I'm thinking of converting my 75 gallon tank into something for a lizard or snake. What are your ideas of what i should get that can live in there for life?

Get a nice ATB...........I've got an Orange phase..he is mean as $h1t, and is definatly a display animal............they stay skinny , but get long!! A 75 with some vines, perches and sphagmum moss substrate would kick ***!!!:headbang2 :D

g/ l:)

Well, "cool" is relative. If you think its cool, then its cool.

Lots of lizard possibilities:
Naturalistic vivarium/paludarium with anoles and small frogs
blue-tongued skink
bearded dragon
a pair/trio of Mt horned dragons
plated lizard
cone-headed lizard
legless (glass) lizard

Snakes:
ball python
carpet python
any large colubrid (ratsnakes, gophers/bulls, cribos, giant hognose, etc)

build a frog city!

Get a jungle carpet python, that's what i would do.....they are great looking and don't get too big........

I would prefer to house more than one animal in the tank. Could i put more than one lizard or more than one snake in the tank (Not lizard and snake together)?

Are you talking about just two different species or just more than one of a single species? The latter would be more feasible.

Oh, and another suggestion is a pair of Collared lizards.
