so you have 2 55 and a 29? You have to do something with the convicts...find someone who is willing to take them off your hands or you will have a tankful of convicts.

Well. I would keep the jewel in 29, maybe add something it will tolerate;

If you don't want to deal with convict fries, keep all convicts in the 55 and they will manage themselves...(but that makes an ugly tank)
You can keep a mixed african in the second 55 but I think you need to rehome the giraffe as it will get too big for the 55.

and lastly, lose the pink gravel....it will blind you eventually :)

hmm.. i agree with everything u have said accept i have a four inch grown con, snails, and a damn tetra? the griaffe, jewel and hybrid in the bright tank were dropped off to me last night, so they would be the first to go lol.. as for the cons, how do they not overpopulate? IM SCREWED LMAO.. to the lfs for donations seems to be my only option :( thank u for your help too!!! i need it right now (hubbys getting aggrivated)

if your black convict is the one pictured in your wound thread, you keep him, he's a looker. as far as the others, you keep the ones you like the most and prepare to get bigger tanks if needed.
and tell the hubby he needs to be supportive of your attempts to grow as a person. be sure to mention the fact that fish tanks are shown to be beneficial to your health so just sit back and get healthy.

My usual advice to beginners is...make one tank beautiful and then ask for others :)

Convicts breeds like rabbits, unfortunately, without proper predators, water is going to deteriorate and fish die...that's how they will regulate themselves...or you have to do it for them. In my 300, there is one female convict who sneaked in on a piece of holey rock from my other tank. She is not getting a male :)

ok i think i handled it well :) i only have a few fry left, my black con, snails, and a new jd for my 55 gal :) still only running two tanks! whew that was like craziness today!! i felt like a fish slinger lmfao

also if thats a stealth heater u need to get rid of it and take it to petsmart since they have been recalled
