PAINT THEM!
Well, I was trying to figure out what to do with my big dead flowerhorn cichlid. Taxidermy/replicating is expensive and this time of year I do not have a lot of cash onhand, so in my searching online for ideas I stumbled accross "Gyotaku" a form of fish painting/imprinting.
Kinda messy, kinda gross, kinda fun, but best of all, I can still repaint him a different color if I want to! This is my first attempt, so it didn't come out that great.

!!!!!!!!! get a slab of clay and make an imprint then fill it with plaster.

thats actually not a bad idea. a little morbid but the fish and memories will live on forever.

That must have been one big FH!
My uncle did that with a huge sturgeon he caught, and with a large bass I think. Looks really cool if you get it placed right.

"Gyotaku" can be seen in many small seafood resturants in Japan since they often buy whole fresh fish. They are displayed with a lot of detail and skill. Some amazing sized fish out there!!
