What to do with extra 10g

I've had an extra 10g for a while now. Not sure what to do with it, i was thinking of planting it, or a reef. i have never done saltwater before, should i try a larger tank first? any ideas?

Gonna be a pretty small reef in a 10g.

How about a feeder fish tank?

Nano reef is cool but the down side is that when you got hook with it you can't do anything to it
Mini planted tank also cool with small shoal of tetra species.
I would say setup low tech fresh water planed tank then watch it grow and quite cheap to get it up than a Nano reef, anyway have fun and good luck!

I say non planted tank with mexican dwarf crayfish. That would be a blast

Go with a FOWLR to start then slowly start adding corals after getting it cycled and stable.

or planted tank with a dwarf puffer. Those guys are so cool
