What to do with my 54 gal?

well about 6 months ago i bought this 54 gal bowfront corner tank that i just had to have. i was planning to put 2-3 red belly p's in it. well i kinda got side tracked(too many other tanks) and as i started looking around @ the accesories for my 54 i realized everything is so dam expensive for this tanklike the stand the tops ect.... so i tried to sell it even asked way less than i paid. $350.00 but no wants it so now im stuck with it. so what should i do with it?

it was $350 new? wow. here in Canada, a new 125 from the LFS is $300.

you could perhaps use it as a reptile tank? the accessories required would be cheaper and you wouldn't need a beefy stand since it wouldn't be full of water.

yeah i was thinking that but i have never kept reptiles before the stand alone is $300. it sucks i live in an expensive state

good thought but i already have a 40 gal long planted tank. now u guys see my problem...i just dont need this tank its never been used it feels like such a waste

shoot, you did pay quite a bit......next time, check craigslist and the MFK buy/sell........you can pick up things much cheaper.

if i was you i'd use it for feeders - just throw in guppies...mollies etc and let them breed? i have a couple of 50gal tanks and that's what i use them for. either that or a quarantine/hospital tank. no point in keeping a monster fish in there you'll just have to upgrade it to a bigger tank in the future. or it could just be used as a grow out tank too.
