feeder tank
I got a full grown zebra angelfish that needs to get removed from my community tank as it is eating all the baby guppies. I got three other tanks. I got one with 13 baby piranha in it, one with a whole bunch of baby monsters including alligator gars, payara, jardini etc. and then i got a fish tank with big fish like my florida gars and clown knife (24"). Where should I put him? My clown knife isn't that aggressive, but only aggressive to fish he thinks he can eat. The angelfish is tall so I would think this would make the clown less eager to take a try at him. What should I do? Where should I put my angelfish? Help out please. :)

I have moved this thread into the Angel fish and discus forum where it should be ok mate.

As for your angel fish if you don't want to buy another tank for it i'd take it to your LFS where they would swap or buy it from you .

Leave your Angel where it is and move the guppies or leave them there too.

I breed guppies in shoeboxes. They reproduce without much effort and do just fine without filters or aeration. Just keep them fed well and change their water at least once a week.

You can leave them guppies with the Angel too, and keep both the Angel and Guppies happy. For as long as the Angel does not eat the big guppies, the guppies will make more babies every so often. If you wish to give the baby guppies a fair chance at survival, you may give them places to hide, in the tank with the Angel.

my angelfish is blind in one eye so i doubt a lfs would want to purchase him. the angelfish is in my dads guppy tank and he wants him out, so even if they would live in harmony together, my dad says no. so you think my full grown zebra veil angelfish will co exist with 3 florida gars and a clown knife? (see sig for sizes)

just try the lfs they usually never turn down a healthy fish

For about ten minutes, after that you would not have to worry about the Angel ever again.

You could temporarily keep it with the baby monsters but only until they get bigger, don't keep it with the big boys, it will get eaten
