I have 2 55 gallon tanks. Was wanting to put some fish that won't out grow it. Was thinking a group of silver dollars in one. And the other one a school of bala shark's.
What to do with my extra 55.

If you want to do 2 setup next to eachother or ontop of eachother something that would be cool is to put fish in the one and put the same type of fish in the other one but albino versions of the fish in the first tank

I have silver dollars and they are amazing... I really like mine and I'd suggest getting a small school of them.

I kept a bala in my 55g for a year. Could have gone another. But +1 they get too big eventually. Very slow growers.
Balas can get huge if people look after them. SDs would be fine in 55. they can be quite fun.
Personally I would get a big school of tiger barbs!! Nothing beats 30+ tiger barbs racing around a tank.
