I need to get rid of my 18" Royal knife asap since no one wants to buy him, I was wondering if public aquariums usually take something like this. Or maybe somewhere else.

Thoughts would be appreciated

Public aquariums are often asked to take unwanted Knives, arowanas, pacu and other large fish. Most have more than enough and won't take them anymore. Have you tried "free to a good home"?

what size tank would i need for this fish to live nicely with my flower horn when he grows big enough?

i would love to take ur fish to keep it from possibly being mistreated. just need to know how big of a tank to look 4

i would say no less than a 180, but you are in oregon. that would be a bit expensive to ship.

yea its hard to find stuff here as well ill keep an eye out hopefully i can find one soon to help out jsodwi

They're a delacasy in some asian countries, but the cost per pound would send you broke.

I wouldnt eat it, more or less I'd advertise it in as many papers/forums/lists as possible. You might have quite a few takers willing to spend some dollars on a large knife.

alot of LFS by me won't buy or trade fish, but gladly take just about any and all "donations" cheap a@$'S
