Hey guys, I have a 200 gallon marine land DD tank that measures 4 wide by 3 feet deep by 28 inches tall.

it used to be a sps saltwater tank see pic, but after years of keeping SW I decided to go back to fresh to make my maintenance easier.
Question is what to with it? So I am looking for stocking ideas what would you do with the tank?
I have a sump with 5 gallon bucket worth of bio balls in it and a FX5 for my filters with pool sand in the tank sooooo lets stock this bad boy!

Well, frankly everybody is going to tell you something different, for whatever because every one would do sonething different, any thing to narrow it down? I personally would say some bichirs on the bottom and maybe some larger new world cichlids, a pair of jags maybe?

A square shape is not as good of a footprint for large cichlids(as in you can keep less fish than say a 6 foot long tank)...My idea is to have a central rock pile and have a 360 degree viewing of an african mbuna tank

Just wanted to get some ideas am lacking that "goal" of what I want.
I think if I was to go afican i would do frontosa and ? that would stay near the bottom.
I like SA Cichlids they seem to have more personality
maybe go old shool and go adopt some big oscurs from the LFS

Omg!... so many options... just like you I wouldn't know where to start! How about freshwater rays! or arrowanas with flagtails and other fish, or a clown lach tank! Maybe pick a fish you really love and work around them or a species tank? Have fun and good luck!:).
