I started a 90 gallon and had some rock left over, and some older rock from a failed nano i had, not wanting anymore rock in my tank, and not wanting to start a new tank yet soon, what can i do with it? right now it's just taking up space in my bathtub (in a bucket of course)

So what can i do with unused rock wasting powerheads and small heaters... and the bathtub?

you have a sump?? use it in there

Quite large pieces, i could use the smaller bits though...

i have two empty 10 gallons begging nano, but i don't have the money or resources to make more.

How much rock are we talking about here? I know you said you don't want to setup anymore tanks, but you can always grab a couple cheap 10gs from Wal-Mart or Petco and start some cool nanos.

Hmm, mom stuck her hand in the water they were in while she was cleaning the bathroom she said she doesn't remember if she washed her hands or not, so i'm not to sure just how live this rock will be soon. i transferred it out of the buckets into another bucket. didin't put water in so they are all exposed to the elements. How long can LR survive like this? i would re-cycle them if i had to, would they still be usable or would i have to throw them out if they dryed up?

(half the rock in there was dryed outside for afew months, because the noob i was back then thought the presence of cyano would "kill" the rock, so we took them out and let them dry) that was along time ago though (well about a half a year)

LR would only be alive as long as it stays wet

either sell it or give it to me :D

if you leave it out, it will dry up and die but you can save it and use it for base rock on your next tank and after a long time of it sitting in with other live rock it will seed the dead rock and bring it back ,
