So I purchased used sump that had a float valve 3-4 inches to low for my liking I have drilled new float valve above it but was wonder at the risk of sounding foolish. Is there anything I can do with the original lower float valve other than remove it and cap over the hole with a sheet of acrylic and acrylic cement?
