so i received this pbass in a shipment and its pretty skinny. It ate a couple black worms on the first two days but now it isnt really eating. I removed it from the other two today with some guppies in a 10 gallon. Well the guppies are too fast and hard for him to catch even the itsy bitsy ones. so what should i do now? Heres a pic

maybe cut a couple of the guppies tails off so they can't swim away as fast but will still be moving/enticing as live food

Frzn bloodworms..if u got the guyana ocells from snookn i got the same ones..mine are tarin up bloodworms..

mike you should start adding crushed pellets to the bloodworms. since you have a school you could prob feed by spoon as well. I used to get the bloodworms all thawed and add crushed pellets into them. Let sit for a minute and then get a little on a spoon and dip it in and my orino's would hammer em!

I dont think a guppy should ever be fast enough for ANY pbass. He might be sick

I was thinking the same, they aren't built for escaping predators, just like goldfish.

At that size, they may just be too stressed/skittish. What I have done in the past with small pbass that will not eat is put them in a darker room, put guppies in there, count the guppies, turn off the lights and keep them there for a week or so until they get adjusted. You can determine if they are eating by counting the guppies.

The skinny one is ill. The eyes and body are dark. They are really fragile at such a small size, there is a very good chance it won't survive I'm afraid.
