I have a 6ft Marineland 220, 5ft dd Marineland 250, an aqueon 6ft 180 and a 7ft supposedly very old aqueon 210 that all have cracked plastic trim. I used to be able to get replacement trim for the tanks from a fish shop near me but now they are saying that Marineland and aqueon no longer sell the rims. Has anyone had any similar experiences? I'd rather not have to get glass and euro brace all the tanks just because I'm looking to sell them and that glass would cost me nearly as much as the tanks are worth. Any advice would be great thanks.

You can try aquariumframeswholesale.com website but will be limited by the width of the tank since they only make them up to 18" wide.

You may be better selling the tanks as is instead of putting more money into them.

I used JB Kwick weld. I used clear packing tape to help form it the way I need it. After that use some acrylic paint to paint over the JB.

probably gonna have to try selling them as is.
dont really wanna mess with getting glass and cutting it myself and jb weld wont fix it its cracked in multiple spots per tank

thanks for the suggestions

I would advertise them as snake or lizard cages. Otherwise I would put them outside as glass water gardens/goldfish ponds.

so i have obviously run into this issue where my plastic trim is cracked and I need to replace it.
I contacted marineland and was told they had replacement trim but can't sell to me as im not a distributor, calling around in my state and the states around me they tell me they cant get the trims from their distributor so im posting to ask if anyone has any ideas on how i could get these replacement trims for a marineland 265DD, and 220, and a aqueon 180?

or if anyone has any cheap alternatives.

There is a company that makes braces from steel and then powder coats them to prevent rusting. This is adequate if it is the center brace that is cracked. I have one on my 150.
I was told that they no longer sell trim only due to liability issues with people installing them incorrectly.
