So, I'm working on picking up a 100 Gallon and Im trying to figure out what to stock it with. 60''x16''x24''
I was planning on doing 1xJag, 2x Xingu 1 Pikes, 2x Lyonsi, and some silver dollars as dithers.

But with the 16'' width, is it really enough for a Jag, or the Xingu 1's for that matter?

Just trying to see what I could put in this thing, and finding theres really not alot out there...

Any help would be great guys! Thanks.

i think the Jag might be pushing it a touch. I have seen alot of them reach 15+". The 16" is kinda thin. I would try some 10" fish. Maybe some severums or vieja.

What about W/C Labiatus pair? I'm probably going to do that in an 80G though...

I really like alot of Vieja so I'll look around and see what I like best.

Cool.
Maybe some Rotkiel Sevs.
Gunno look around more before i make a choice.

100 gallon sounds like a lot, but when it's in the odd dimensions that you've posted you're pretty limited by what you can stock. That's only a foot print of 960 square inches, or 6 and 2/3 feet. Not much room for territory for multiple aggressive cichlids.

My 100 gallon is 72 X 18 X 18 and gives a foot print of 1296 square inches, or 9 square feet. A BIG difference.

I'd only go with one of any species as you want to avoid conspific aggression and breeding.

jag would have to be female only get one pike and a pair would take a large territory so may only wan't one of them to

also a bigger tank would help alot that jag could take up alot of room

My 100g contains an Oscar, JD, sev, small geophagus, and a couple cats.

Your stocking is too many aggro fish. If you want the jag, forget the pikes, and vice versa. Also, Stay far away from pairs. A breeding pair of anything will take that tank for its own.

I really like the rokeil idea. I love the sevs. Without the Jag you have options maybe a sax pike geos and a few sevs. As said the gallonage is pretty good but the dimensions kill it.
