My employees got together and purchased a $100 gift certificate to an online saltwater fish dealer for me for Christmas. Problem is as follows:

1. The site only sells saltwater livestock, no supplies. (Their parent company sells supplies but does not accept their gift certificates.)
2. I do not have any saltwater tanks
3. I do not have any saltwater tanks

Now I thought about setting up a spare 37 gallon tall tank as a saltwater tank, but I do not have the money to set up the filtration on it, and I can not use this GC for that either.

So my question for all of you out there is, what would you do in this situation?

1.) Thank your fellow employees for the gift card.
2.) Slap them for not knowing that you ONLY have freshwater tanks.
3.) Slap them some more.

You couldddd try to find somebody who will give you 100 dollars cash for that gift certificate if they care for saltwater fish. :)

last resort stick it on ebay. you might get 80 back if lucky or someone here might have it off you. ive never been able to see the advantage in vouchers when notes can be spent anywhere

Can you use it to buy live rock? cause honestly, live rock is the best filtration for a saltwater tank. Then from there go about buying fish. or you can go to www.reefcentral.com or www.reefs.org and try to sell it there in their classified section.

Find a salt water keeper, sell them the ticket at discount. Or see if the company sells any light brackish fish.
