i recently moved my SMB into his new 120g hopefully permanent home, although some day i may want to go bigger, and do not know what to do with the smaller 20g tank that is now sitting empty.... any thoughts? i want thinking just keeping the feeder fish i buy for him in it and selectively feeding him, but we want the SMB to get pretty big and just put a water heater in there to slightly increase the water temp. so he eats more. i was thinking maybe going saltwater but i heard its a pain in the butt to get started and what tropical fish could i keep in 20g?

the dwarf sunfish species would be neat. Darters would be cool. As far as tropical fish go - a large school of neon tetras would be amazing

i've always wanted clown fish, like the ones from finding nemo just because they look awesome, or a ghost knife fish once again because they look awesome aswell but i dont know how big either of those would get and what the appropriate sized tank would be

the knife will get to big asuming your talking about black ghost knife fish. but many species of clown fish stay small enough to keep in a 20gal

would the finding nemo type clownfish be to big for a 10-20g?
