I have a 90 gallon fish tank. Empty i used to have fish in there, (cichlids, peacock bass, and such), Now i am looking for suggestions on a good fish. Something that eats live stuff lol. I was thinking about puffers but i just need to open my doors up and think. Thanks

Wolf Fish are amongst my list favourites, they love live food.

I had crappie before, they are pretty cool :)

when i was little we used to keep all natives, i had never kept tropical fish till i started up in my apartment on my own. we had a largemouth from the time he was an inch long to close to over a foot and a bullhead from a half an " to probably 10-12" along with countless bream frogs etc etc, unfortunately we only had a crappie once and he jumped out through the cracks (was very small) so hopefully someday when i have a steady job and a house with my own fish room i hope to have a 75 or 90 gallon tank dedicated to maybe 3-4 crappie and possible toss in a small bream or 2 (along with another 90 for a male jag and the ultimate dream of a 180 or so for something special undecided ;))

Sounds like a plan :)

the last fish that i had in there was a small mouth bass. He as well jumped out of the tank which was a tragedy to me. very depressing. Ive had arrowannas that i grew up in there then put them in my 120, same with the peacock bass, a saber tooth tetra, red tail cat fish[badidea] and a gar all before. Basically my 90 gallon is like a tank to grow up big fish in. So now i just want to have some kind of something in there thats fun to watch. So i was thinking a few figure eight puffers. WHat do you guys think?

I don't have any experience with figure 8's, but I still stand by the wolf fish option. You can keep a hoplias malabaricus aka common wolf fish in there life.

Here's a pic of one:
