I just recieved 6 Half dollar size angelfish from a breeder the other day.I have them in a seperate tank (quarantine) a 29 gallon.Looks like 2 of them are pairing up already.They were cleaning the filter intake tube,and chasing the other angels away.Do I get a divider or put the others in my 90 gallon with 6 other angels that are in there now?I do have a 20 gallon tank,but it' not cycled yet.Also,if I leave them in the 29 do I put a sponge on the intake tube?

I would separate them for sure. They can be quite nasty as you are seeing and they are fun to breed! Before I moved my pair they kicked the crap out of all the other angels. Almonst blinded another female and destroyed lots of fins. Do place a sponge on the intake. My angel pair kept laying eggs on there intake tube. I thought they wer eating the eggs but when i cleaned the filter there was fry in the filter.
