what to do???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think you just shouldn't worry about it. I mean, who cares if he does out do you? Its not about who has the coolest fish, even though he might make it seem that way. It about how you feel. Are u happy with your current fish and set ups? If not, well go get some more.

But don't worry about him. He'll have to learn the hard way. He'll probably just move on to a new fad like competitive eating. and he will sell his tanks and stuff to you for cheap. Just remember its about you not him.

Yeah, forget about him. Sounds like 100 other F-ing idiots I've seen. People like that will listen to no one.

show him some of the tanks/sizes on here he'll $#!t himself.

ummm.... i seriously doubt a pleco of all things will die in a new tank that has been dechlorined... might starve if he dont feed it due to the tank not having a chance to build algae or other organisms... but not die due to water conditions... Most common fish sold are pretty hardy, and thats why they are the most sold. They survive shipping conditions petshop lack of care and novice fish keeper lack of care. Would you be this worried about putting a Comet Goldfish in there?

then again im still a newb here... And maybe tapwater in Miami is just different....

Let him out do you :) but it sounds like you are in the right place. Maybe he should be here too :)

Just keep reading and if he doesn't do some reading himself he will NOT outdo you maybe in the cost of maintinence of his tank. But your fish, provided you do allot more research of your own will be heatlhier and live longer :)

What kind of Pleco? and Why is he getting it ??

I would suggest helping him out on the hobby.:) It is better than to ignore him. After all, saving a fish is better than ignoring it allowing others to think that fish are not disposable.:)

Good luck.

Maybe if he puts a bunch of fish in a uncycled tank and they all die, he'll give up and you can score his tank for free! :headbang2

lol, thats what i was thinking.

poor fish, but lucky you. if he dittches on his set ups. you can offer to tank them off his hands. i have known alot of people that thought they were gonna have the cats freaking p.j's when it came to a fish tank, but just didnt have the drive time money or desire. it takes a dash of all those to ge tit right. and a tank shouldnt be to look kewl to everyone else. yes a nice display is good, but get the fish you want. make it your own little world as the late great bob ross woulda said.*S*

You can either offer to help him out with some material from one of your cycled filters and advice/or you can watch him kill a few fish then grab the tank for cheap
