I recently recieved 3 3" p. bass and they don't seem interested in flakes at all. I've had them 2 days and havent seen them eat once. Do i have to get them eating feeders or frozen foods first?

frozen bloodworms
FD bloodworms
FD shrimp

These work great for for smaller bass. Always feed in the same spot and only put in little food at a time. The cichlas will start competing for the food. Before you know it the cichlas will be waiting in the same corner everytime you get near the tank. The next step will be crushed pellets.

Bloodworms etc. no live you will regret it. and no flakes.

Mine won't touch flakes either. As everyone above said, try fd and frozen worms and shrimp. Mix in small or crushed pellets so they get used to the flavor/texture. They will spit it out for a while, but you have to be patient. Once they are eating good you can increase the pellet portion a little at at time. Good Luck!
