I have a 6" jardini and im feeding him brine shrimp, blood worms and silver sides. He dont seem to eat that much at all. He isnt growing at all. I have had him over 6 to 7 weeks and his mate the 2" RTC has grown to 7" already. What should i feed the jardini??

we feed our silver arowana hikari floating food sticks and she loves them. last week we got a 6 inch jardini arowana, and he's in a different tank. he wouldn't eat for the first few days, but we figured he was just acclimating. we tried hikari food sticks, hikari krill, hikari mysis shrimp... nothing.. yesterday for the first time he ate the hikari food sticks.. and today he is attacking them.. so try that.. all of our fish, including the jardini love them..

Juvenile jardinis are fragile. Try to find something he likes to eat but also watch the rtc doesn't stress him out too much. He may need a seperate growout tank.
Good luck.

Forget about the rtc bothering the aro, you should start worrying about the rtc just eating your jar.

x2. your RTC will eat your jar. It is a matter of when.

As for feeding, you should have tried floating sticks at the begining. Not too late to try. good luck

my 4" jar just started accepting hikari floating sticks. he previously would only accept blood worms and brine shrimp. i'm very relieved since hes starting to eat a lot and frozen food gets expensive.
