what kind sinking pellets is a good idea and recomended to feed them ? i've been feeding mine tetra cichlid carnivore sticks but there long and 5mm-6mm round pretty big for him and they are VERY messy none the less... should i get some 2mm sinking NLS ? or whats a good size to be feeding him ?

I find that most fish accepts Hikari pretty easily. I would go with some Hikari Carnivore or Medium Sinking Cichlid Pellets. I have very limited experience with NLS, but it seems that my fish don't readily take NLS as easily as they do Hikari.
he still pretty tiny this guy so im kinda wanting to keep his food a bit smaller if i can, as the bigger stuff he seems to make a big mess in the tank when eating lol, i was thinking of something along the line of 2mm or 3mm sinking pellets for him....
At that size they eat most everything. Mine prefer small pieces of nightcrawlers and shrimp. They also eat tilapia but it takes a little longer before they jump at it. I take nightcrawlers and pinch off small pieces and almost all my fish go crazy for them.

ya if i tried feeding worms to him, i would never get any close enough to the bottom as the other fish would get em before they touch the water lol .... ive tried that before no worms ever touch the sand bottom lol .... so would i be good to get something of like a NLS sinking 2-3mm pellet for him ?? or what is suggested for a sinking pellet for him ?
hikari sinking massivore pellets - much better value than the carnivore pellets. Wiked mix of nutrients in them. Just make sure to break your massivore pellet in half and see if he can get through that first rather than putting a whole pellet in.
My bgk darts around the tank the instant I put frozen blood worms in the water he LOVES them. He also eats flakes and sinking pellets.

ya i ended up getting hikari cichlid gold sinking pellets about 3mm or so... all though he is a bit of a retard lol, rarely comes out to eat and still hasnt grown much just lays in the tube like a dumbass lol
Lol mine is the same way! When I put the food in he knows its there but can't find it lol. Funny to watch!
