i accidently found a baby LMB that jumped up the shore and I decided to keep it. What do they eat?? I am currently feed it some chopped up market shrimp. the bass swallows it but throws up half of it!! Is this normal?? What else should i feed it? Brine shrimp, krill, talapia?? HOW CAN I TRAIN IT TO EAT PELLETS??? what kind of pellets??

How can i make the bass less aggresive and tame?

do the bass still eat the shrimp that sinks to the bottom??

how big is it??

Is there anyway I can train it to accept tankmates such as my bichirs?

Its probably throwing up the food because it is too big. Easiest is earthworm cut into very small pieces. To get him on pelets or flakes will take a lot of time you may want to stick with worms and live food for now.

geez my bass grew from 2 inches to 2.5 inches in a week! From the side, it looks like a oval dinner plate. It ate hikiri and talapia on the first day (late update LOL). I feed it until it's totally plump. I can hand feed them now! My bass are splashing in the water in feeding time while my bichirs are lying there asleep o_O

Wait till he's 15+ inches. Mine grew an easy 10" in a year and will absolutely destroy everything new added to the tank. Crayfish, whole shrimp, godfish, perch, minnow, locust... Hope you have a big tank and and endless supply of food. Just for reference: at 15" my LMB will eat 5+ Large comet goldfish and 5-10 minnow. He'll do it every day if I feed him every day. Freakin PIG.
