Hi, I just bought a baby clown knife. 2-3" . What are some good non-live feeding options. I took him home the same day the LFS got him, so not sure what he has been getting feed. I tried blood worms last night with no luck but he could still be adjusting to the new home. what do/have you guys feed your baby clown knifes? Thanks

Anyone?? How long can a baby clown go with out eating? My plan is to keep putting food right next to him and hope he eats before he starves to death.. Does anyone have advice getting these guys to eat non live foods? Thanks:)

Bloodworms, tubifex, chopped up earthworms, and beef heart. Etc. I think you gotta wait till the knife settles down. It will come around.

I've always done well with frozen bloodworms. I eventually switch them to pellets using Hikari.

Thanks for the food idea's. So far ive tried blood worms, pieces of krill and shrimp, and pellets. The last two days ive soaked pieces of krill in garlic guard. Would it be best to stick with one food at this point or keep alternating different foods? Thanks

Ive used frozen krill and small pieces of frozen silversides and smelt. They are usually night predators so keeping dim or off around feeding time Should help

Once they start eating regularly expect about an inch per month of growth ( one of my favorite fish)

When mine was that small it took him a couple of days to adjust to the new tank. But when he did would take small pieces of frozen krill, bloodworm, and hikari carnivore pellets. As he got bigger I moved him to the hikari massivore pellets. He got live feeders like once a month as a treat.

I had a girlfriend that had a 20"+ gold clown knife that would come up to the top and eat floating trout chow like a goldfish or koi would.
