I got this guy back in Feb, it was about an inch at the time. He is now going on 4" give or take.

Been feeding mostly HBH supersoft spirulina small pellets, with a higher protein pellet once or twice per week. At first crushed the pellets between fingers, now just toss in.

I've been feeding my Geo growouts the smallest NLS pellets and they seem to take them pretty well. I also just got some Xtreme pellets that were really tiny and they love those, too. I haven't found Geos to be very fussy, especially young tank-bred fish. If you use larger pellets like Hikari or NLS, you could put some in a bag and crunch them up to be more manageable for the smaller fish.

They also love occasional frozen treats like bloodworms, but a good quality pellet is probably your best bet for a staple.

I have some Guianacara that were about 1" when I got them about a month ago and feeding NLS mainly with occasional Omega shrimp pellets and Ken's Premium Veggie flakes they have grown an extra 1-1.5 on top of when I got them!

I do large and frequent water changes though

Large, frequent water changes are definitely one big part of the equation. It's amazing what fresh, clean water will do for growing juvenile fish.

I use NLS and then my secret weapon.... Cyclop-eeze wafers.
