I got some today, 5 to be exact. I love them, Amazing fish Can I just feed them the fish flakes that fall to the floor? Once a week can I tie down piece of cucumber so they can feed?
Mine eat Sinking pellets flakes and Bloodworm. Remember, even though they WILL eat cucumber, they are carnivoirs so, I do a Frozen/Thaw Cube of BloodWorms 1-3 Times A Week.

I use New Life Spectrum and the occasional cucumber. I've never really used flakes for any of my fish and most people would recommend pellets as soon as possible. I've also used the hikari sinking wafers but i notice that smaller loaches have a hard time with it. NLS is good for big and small loaches.
Like stated above NLS pellets will work fine as a staple food. I would stay away from flake with clowns, sinking pellets are the way to go. Ken's fish makes a soft n moist krill pellet which mine seem to like. My clowns get mostly finely chopped market shrimp, PE mysis shrimp, bloodworms and hikari spirillina brine. The cucumber/zuchini is gd on occasion but it lacks the protein to really make them grow. gd luck
My 4x CL will eat both Ken's pellets and Tetra Fins/Omega flakes. I feed them (and my discus & angels) this combination every day for over a year now. My biggest CL is now ~6", yay!
Clowns are not picky eaters. You can even apply floating pellets to their feeding. They usually won't pursue in the beginning, but after a few plus days. They'll go up to get it which is entertaining for the fishkeeper. Makes them less shy from my experience.
Flakes, NLS pellets/wafers, massivore, hikari algae wafers/sinking wafers, bloodworms, krill, market shrimp, mysis shrimp, cucumber/zuchini/just about any veggies, anything, etc... Stay away from romaine/leafy greens. Never again...Mines make a mess of that in my tank...
